Daniil Kogan was born in 1993 in Moscow, into a family of musicians. He graduated with honors from the Central Music School affiliated with the Moscow State Conservatory, studying under Professor Maya Glezarova. He furthered his education at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying under Professor Maya Glezarova and Professor Alexander Kravchenko. Since 2018, he has been pursuing his doctoral studies under the guidance of Professor Kravchenko.

He has been a scholarship recipient and participant in concert programs by the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, "New Names," and "Russian Performing Arts." Daniil Kogan frequently performs in Russia and abroad, collaborating with renowned orchestras such as the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan, the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after E.F. Svetlanov, the "New Russia" Symphony Orchestra, the Estonian National Orchestra, Camerata Klaipeda, among others. He has worked with esteemed conductors like Mark Gorenstein and Pavel Kogan. Additionally, he performs as part of an ensemble.
Daniil Kogan has participated in various festivals including the Summit Music Festival in the United States, the Niagara Music Festival in Canada, Sayowe in Thailand, Nancyphonies in France, and Accademia Chigiana in Italy, among others.
He plays a 1737 Pietro Guarneri violin provided by AVS Group.
