Alexey Sychev was born in 1988 in Lipetsk. He graduated with honors from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (classes of People's Artist of RSFSR, Professor Aleksey Nasedkin and Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Pavel Nersessian). From 2014 to 2016 he studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Professor Jacques Rouvier's class). Сurrently he is passing training within post graduate program of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (class of professor von Arnim).

2015 - laureate of the II prize of the International Piano Competition in Jaén (Spain), winner of the VIII Franz Liszt International Piano Competition (Weimar-Bayreuth), winner of the Audience Award and Special Prize.
2017 - laureate of the III prize of the International competition "Austrian Piano Open" (Vienna).
2018 - laureate of the III prize of the Maria Canals International Music Competition (Spain). Laureate of the III prize of the Dublin International Piano Competition (Ireland).
2019 - winner of the II “Tucumán, Argentina” International Piano Competition. Winner of the XI International "Franz Liszt" Piano Competition (Parma, Italy)
Three times winner of the Russian President Award on the program "Young talents of Russia", scholar of the Russian Ministry of Culture (2000-2003), scholar of Rostropovich Foundation, Russian Performing Art Fund and K. Orbelian Foundation, Winner of the Mendelssohn Scholarship (Leipzig, Germany).
He is performing with recitals in Europe, Morocco, Brazil, Chile, the United States, as well as with various symphony orchestras in Russia, Europe and South America. He has performed in the Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory, in Moscow International Performing Arts Center, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), halls of the Rudolfinum (Prague), Aula Magna (Rome), Gulbenkian (Lisbon) and the National Congress of Chile. Participant of various international festivals, including the Beethovenfest in Bonn, «Gina Bachauer» in Salt Lake City (USA), «Semanas Musicales» in Chile and «Les Sommets du Classique» in Switzerland. Alexey Sychev recorded a solo CD on the Czech radio.
Participant of master classes of Bernd Gettske, Klaus Hellwig, Jerome Rose, Paul Badura-Skoda, Dominique Merlet, Naum Shtarkman, Michael Schaefer and Sergey Dorensky.
