The “River of Talents” is a unique Russia-wide project created by Sergei Roldugin, People's Artist of Russia, the Artistic Director of the Saint-Petersburg Music House. This is focused on students of the music universities and colleges, who start their professional solo career and prepare to participate in major international competitions with orchestras.
The Project has been implemented since 2007 in the form of selective master-classes in Saint-Petersburg and series of symphony concerts in philharmonics of the Volga Region. During master classes and performances, the participants work on their programs to be demonstrated at competitions accompanied by the orchestra. This is the only project of the Saint-Petersburg Music House which participants are recommended by educational institutions themselves.
Organizational issues: all expenses for accommodation, soloists travel to places of master-classes (Saint-Petersburg) and concerts (Volga region), as well as travel and accommodation of their teachers to places of master-classes and concerts, participation of philharmonics in the Project , concerts advertising are covered by the Saint-Petersburg Music House.
