ST. PETERSBURG MUSIC HOUSE, PLAYBILL (august, 2016)

August 3, Wednesday at 7 p.m. will be the first concert of Music House`s XI season. On the English Hall stage  (122 Moika River) will perform the graduates of Kazan Conservatory and the laureates of international competitions, violinist Sergey Ponomarev and pianist Denis Shashkarov. Program includes pieces of Russian composers: Shostakovich, Shchedrin, Rostropovich, Gubaidulina and Prokofiev.

August 10, Wednesday at 7 p.m., within series "Evenings in the English Hall"  will perform the laureate of numerous violin competitions Polina Borisova and the winner of Delphic Games-2016 Roman Markelov (saxophone). Program: masterpieces of composers of different eras:  from Bach to Prokofiev.
Audience 12+, Ticket price - 300-350 RUR

August 17, Wednesday at 7 p.m., "Evenings in the English Hall" continues with the winner of Knushevitsky International Cello Competition Rustem Khamidullin and the laureate of Hamamatsu Pianist Competition Alexey Melnikov. Program includes music of the Romantic era.
Audience 12+, Ticket price - 300-500 RUR

August 24,  Wednesday at 7 p.m., on the English Hall stage will perform young pianists with Solo Concert: the laureate of international competitions pianist Leonid Baranov, (piano pieces - Andrey Telkov) and the Winner of International Competition Concertino Praga (Czech Republic, 2016) Elizaveta Klyuchereva (piano). Program includes music of  XIX-XX Centuries.

Field workshops in Russia:
From 1 to 24 August the Educational Center "Sirius", unique creative school organizing the pre-professional trainings, will host a creative workshop shift for invited 12-16 years old yound pianists, performers on stringed, wind and percussion instruments. Intensive workshops, which will end with concerts, hold a whole galaxy of outstanding teachers. Professors of St. Petersburg Conservatory: People's Artist of Russia Mikhail Gantvarg (violin) Honored Artists of Russia Alexander Trushkov (oboe), Vladimir Mishchuk and Tatiana Zagorovskaya (piano), Kirill Sokolov (bassoon), Irina Tischenko (Donskaya) (harp), assistant professors Aleksey Massarsky (cello) and Andrew Bolshiyanov (clarinet), as well as the soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre orchestra, Honored Artist of Russia Andrei Hotin (percussion instruments). EC "Sirius" will also host Professors of Moscow Conservatory: People's Artist of the USSR Eduard Grach (violin), Honoured Artist of Russia Andrei Diev (piano), "Golden Oboe of Russia" Alexey Utkin and the founder of Russian saxophone school, People's Artist of Russia Margarita Shaposhnikova. The art of composition will teach Igor Rogalev, and the history of music lectures will traditionally hold the professor of St. Petersburg Conservatory Zivar Huseynova. Young musicians will learn more about creativity of Glinka, Balakirev, Borodin, Tchaikovsky and Glazunov, and the XX century from music of Stravinsky, Lyapunov, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Shaporin.
EC "Sirius" entrance will be closed for unregistered visitors.

MUSIC HOUSE DOES NOT WORK IN JULY AND THERE WON`T BE ANY EXCURSIONS

4, 9, 16 and 23  August at 4 p.m.,(Tue, Thu) will be organized REGULAR EXCURSIONS in Parade Interiors of Alekseevskiy Palace (Music House) - the Residence of the Grand Duke Alexey Alexandrovich Romanov. The building, built on Moika River 122 in Style of Historicism, is the Pearl of Architect Maximilian Messmacher.

11, 18 and 25 August (Thu) at 6 p.m.,will be organized EVENING EXCURSIONS for those who can not visit Music House in the daytime. Ticket price - 500 RUR Audience 12+

20 August (Sat) at 2 p.m.  will be organized WEEKEND EXCURSION, dedicated to the Russia`s Flag Day  for those who can not visit the Music House on Weekdays. Ticket price - 800 RUR AUDIENCE 12+
