December 9, Wednesday, the stage of the St. Petersburg Capella (Moika embankment, 20) will host the third concert of the Music House season “Music of Stars”. The following musicians will perform with the orchestra: prizewinners of international competitions clarinetist Nikita Lyutikov, trombonist Alexey Lobikov, flautist Andrei Sannikov and oboist Andrey Godik. The programme includes the music pieces by Copland, Roth, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, and Mozart. The Symphony Capella of the St. Petersburg Capella conducted by Alim Shahmametyev will take part in the concert programme.

December 16, Wednesday, a concert commemorating the 245th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven will be held in the St. Petersburg Music House (Moika embankment, 122) within the “Evenings at the English Hall” cycle. Competition in progress.

December 17, Thursday, a concert within the “Evenings at the English Hall” cycle will be held on the stage of the English Hall of the St. Petersburg Music House (Moika embankment, 122). The soloists are the prizewinners of international contests Oksana Sidyagina (harp), Alexei Morozov (flute), and Alexander Vasiliev (clarinet). Pianoforte part will be performed by the award winner of international competitions Natalya Frolova. The program includes the pieces by Parish Alvars, Saint-Saens, Walter Kühne, Tournier, Lovrelio, Poulenc, Taktakishvili, and Chabot.

December 23, Wednesday, the stage of the English Hall of the St. Petersburg Music House (Moika embankment, 122) will host the Christmas Concert within the "Evenings at the English Hall” cycle. The soloists are the prizewinners of international competitions Danila Popov (cello) and Anna Geniushene (piano). The program to be confirmed.

December 24, Thursday, the St. Petersburg Music House (Moika embankment, 122) will host the Christmas Concert within the "Evenings at the English Hall” cycle. The soloists are the prizewinners of international competitions Polina Borisova (violin) and Natalia Sokolovskaya (piano). The program includes music pieces by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Kreisler, and Chausson.

Master classes of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” in the “Sirius” Educational Center (Sochi):
 
In the period of December 1 – 24, the “Sirius” Educational Center (Sochi) will host a “Beethoven” creative shift, which young musicians, artists and dancers will attend. Young musicians will receive workshops from outstanding Russian artists and educators. Workshops for pianists will be conducted by professors Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Andrey Diev and Sergei Senkov. Private lessons for violin players will be held by People’s Artist Maxim Fedotov. In addition, the representatives of the St. Petersburg Conservatory are going to be the winter shift mentors: Professor Igor Rogalyov will give composition classes, and Professor Zivar Guseynova will deliver a lecture on Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and the influence of European music on the Russian one in the 19th century.
Entrance to the “Sirius” Educational Center is closed to unauthorized visitors.
 

December 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 and 22 at 4 pm (On Tuesdays and Thursdays) we invite you to regular excursions round the grand halls of the Alexeevsky palace (the Music House), the residence of the Grand Duke Alexey Alexandrovich Romanov. The building in the historicism style erected on the Moika, 122 is the creative peak of Maximilian Messmacher. Ticket price: 350 rub.

The first piano concerto by Rachmaninov will be performed by the prizewinner of the Arcangelo Speranza International Competition (Italy, 2014) Nikolai Saratovskii in the Belgorod Philharmonic Hall. December 12, Saturday, 4 pm the “Music of Stars” symphony concert will be held in Kislovodsk. The winners of the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud International Competition (France, 2014) Aylen Pritchin (violin) and the winner of the 3rd prize of the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow, 2015) Sergey Redkin (piano) will perform on the stage of the Scriabin Hall of the North Caucasus Philharmonic. December 13, Sunday,  6 pm the Music House would like to invite to the concert of the “Musical Team of Russia” that will be held at the Tolyatti Philharmonic Hall. The winner of the SIMC International Competition (Sweden, 2012) violinist Leonid Baranov will perform the Brahms’ Sonatas (piano part will be performed by the prizewinner of international competitions Andrey Telkov) and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto together with the Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor is the Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Vorontsov.

December 14, Monday, 7 pm the “Silver Classics. New Names” concert will be held in Moscow within the framework of the “Musical Team of Russia” project. The winner of the 4th Prize at the Queen Elizabeth International Music Competition (Brussels, 2010) Yury Favorin (piano) has performed together with the Musica Viva Chamber Orchestra conducted by the People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Rudin. The evening programme will feature the pieces of Franz Liszt and Ernest Chausson.

December 18, Friday, 7 pm, the “Philharmonia-2” Concert Hall will feature the prizewinner of the International Clarinet Competition in Ghent (Belgium, 2015) Nikita Lyutikov and the prizewinner of “Prague Spring” (Czech Republic, 2011) Alexey Lobikov (trombone) within the framework of the “Stars of the 21st Century” joint project between the Music House and the Moscow Philharmonic Hall. The program includes the works by Schubert, Strauss, Schumann, and Janáček.

December 2, Wednesday, 7.30 pm the Music House and “Rossotrudnichestvo” would like for the first time to invite to the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Nicosia on. A solo concerto of the prizewinner of the Cliburn contest for young pianists (USA, 2015), Arsenii Mun, will be held at the venue within the framework of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” project. The young pianist from St. Petersburg will perform the works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Shostakovich and Chopin.

December 2, 6 and 7 the St. Petersburg Music House would like for the first time to invite to Brazil for the concerts of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” organized jointly with the Concert Society of Brazil and Rossotrudnichestvo. In the country’s capital in Thomas Jefferson concert hall and in Sao Paulo – in the Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady and Jewish cultural center will feature recitals of the prizewinner of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition, Pavel Milyukov (violin). The Sonatas by Beethoven, Brahms and Franck will be performed for the guests of the evening. Pianoforte part will be performed by the prizewinner of international competitions, Andrei Telkov.

December 31, Thursday, 4 pm and 8 pm the St. Petersburg Music House would like once again to invite to the Austrian city of Linz for the traditional New Year’s concerts under the “Russian Tuesday” project that will be held on.  The Brucknerhaus stage will feature the prizewinner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow, 2015), Aleksander Ramm (cello), and the winner of the 2nd prize at the International Competition “The Voice of Saxophone in the Modern World” (Moscow, 2011), Vitaliy Vatulya. The guests of the festive evening will enjoy the European and South American classical mysuc. Pianoforte part will be performed by Anna Odintsova, the “Best Accompanyist of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition”.
