St. Petersburg Music House announces the cancellation and postponement of events scheduled in St. Petersburg and Russian cities in March-June 2020 due to the threat of a novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Concerts in St. Petersburg:
The concert “Young Performers of Russia” on June 3 has also been cancelled. The program performed by Sofia Morozova (flute), Vitalii Starikov (piano) and Vladislav Shcherbakov (trombone) will be played on November,11. Mozart's Second Flute Concerto, the legendary Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1 and Lebedev's Tuba and Orchestra Concerto in a solo trombone version will be performed.
“Evenings in the English Hall”, previously scheduled for April 1 and October 7 has been cancelled. Chopin's piano gems performed by laureate of international competitions Andrey Zenin and descriptive flute music (Petr Khudonogov): everlasting images from Gluck's operas “Orpheus and Eurydice” and Bizet “Carmen”, the most popular Russian romance by Alyabiev “The Nightingale”, the world-famous composition by Last “The Lonely Shepherd”.
Cancelled solo concert of the winner of international competitions Ravil Isliamov (violin) on May 27 will be postponed to October 14. Program of “Evenings in the English Hall” includes pearls of the violin repertoire created by Paganini, Bach and Tchaikovsky, romantic pieces by Sibelius and virtuoso compositions by 20th century composers Frolov, Weinberg and Waxmann.
The program of the cancelled concert “Young Performers of Russia” originally scheduled on March 25 will be played in the Palace of Beloselsky-Belozersky on October 21. A true musical kaleidoscope is offered to listeners: trumpet (Andrei Samarin), clarinet (Alexei Shipunov), harp (Ekaterina Dvoretskaya) and cello (Grigory Filipchenko) will perform solo in concertos by Haydn, Weber, Gliere and Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme.
All concerts “Evenings in the English Hall” in June have been cancelled.
All tours around the gala halls of Alexeyevsky Palace (St.Petersburg Music House) in March and April have been cancelled. Excursions in May and June hadn't been scheldued.
Ticket refund information:
Refund can be obtained at the ticket office of St.Petersburg Music House (Moika, 122) on weekdays, in cash, within 30 days after quarantine is abolished. Tickets issued on forms of St.Petersburg Music House are refunded upon presentation of original ticket. Tickets purchased online through Cassir.ru are refunded upon application and upon presentation of ID card.
Workshops in St. Petersburg:
A series of closed workshops by Mikhail Gantvarg, Alexander Golyshev and Andrey Diev scheduled for 20-25 April will not be held.
Workshops by Dmitry Bashkirov (piano), March, 25-27, Vincent Lucas (flute), June, 16-18 and Boris Kushnir (violin), June, 22-24 have been cancelled.
Concerts in Russia:
The cancelled chamber music concert on March 18 in Ekaterinburg within the framework of the joint season ticket of St.Petersburg Music House and the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic “Generation NEXT” will be played on Wednesday, June 03 at 6:30 p.m.. The stage hosts the winners of international competitions Aleksandr Bodosov (trombone) and Aleksandr Bolotin (piano). The programme features Baroque and Romantic music: Bach, Handel, Haydn, Schubert, Chopin and Lange.
Performance by winners of Tchaikovsky International Competition Pavel Milyukov (violin) and Miroslav Kultyshev (piano) in the series “Music of Stars” at the North Caucasian Philharmonic in Kislovodsk on March 21 is not to be held.
The concert “Musical Team of Russia” at the Petrozavodsk Conservatory, previously scheduled for April 2, has been cancelled. Music by Sibelius, Frolov, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven performed by winners of international competitions Ravil Islyamov (violin) and Alexander Kashpurin (piano) will be offered to listen on October 29, Thursday, at 7:00 p.m.
The concert “Musical Team of Russia” involving winners of international competitions Lev Zhuravskiy (clarinet) and Vladislav Fedorov (piano) on April 08 in the Great Park of Science and Art “Sirius” in Sochi has been cancelled.
The concert “Generation NEXT” on April 22 in Yekaterinburg has also been postponed. A chamber music by Bach, Schumann, Hindemith and Liszt, performed by soloists Aleksey Savinkov (oboe) and Elizaveta Kliuchereva (piano), will be on offer on July 1st, at 6:30 p.m.

The St.Petersburg Music House is a Federal Cultural Institution created in 2006 to train young Russian musicians for international competitions and festivals. It occupies the Palace of Grand Duke Alexei Romanov at 122 Moika River Bank.
