Evgeny Fokin, born in 2007 in Saratov, studied at the A. D. Selyanin Children's Music School for Wind and Percussion Instruments and later at the F. Liszt Children's School of Arts (Moscow), where he studied under teacher Alexandra Petrova. He is currently a student at the Jazz Academy, where he studies under teacher Vladimir Koznov.
He has received the following awards at international competitions:
In 2021, he received the first prize at the II International Saxophonists Competition "Cherry Saxophone Competition."
In 2022, he received the first prize at the XI International Competition-Festival of Young Performers on Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion Instruments named after Y. N. Dolzhikov (Moscow).
In 2022, he also received the first prize at the XII Moscow International Competition of Musicians "Magic Lyre" (Moscow).
In 2023, he was awarded the bronze medal at the XXII Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Saratov).
He has participated in masterclasses with Leonid Drutin, Jean-Pierre Baraglioli, Mariano Garcia, and Margarita Shaposhnikova. He is a scholarship recipient of the "New Names" Foundation.
He is actively engaged in concert performances, both as a soloist and as part of a quartet. In 2024, he represented Russia in the youth category at the international saxophonists' competition "Andorra Sax Fest" (Andorra).
