Ilya Kondratiev was born in Samara in 1988. In 2003 he entered the Samara College of Music (class of Honoured Worker of Culture Victoria Soifer), in 2005 he transferred to Academic College of Music at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. He is currently a student at the Moscow Conservatoire (class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor Zinaida Ignatieva). In 2010-2011, he won a grant to study at the Weimar Hochschule für Musik (class of Professor Rolf-Dieter Arens).
Laureate of international competitions:
2004 -The Grand Prix at the Kabalevsky International Competition (Samara).
2006 - The 2nd Prize Award at the International Competition “Classical Heritage” (Moscow).
2007 - The 1st Prize Award at the International Competition and Festival of Contemporary Art and Education (Moscow).
2009 - The 3rd Prize Award at the 8th Russian National Youth Delphic Games (Samara).
2011 - The 2nd Prize Award at the International Liszt Piano Competition (Budapest, Hungary).
2011 - The 3rd Prize Award at the 7th International Liszt Piano Competition (Weimar, Germany).
2011 - The 3rd Prize Award at the Chopin International Piano Competition (Hannover, Germany).
2013 - The Grand Prix at the 5th International Piano Competition in Tbilisi, Georgia.
He has taken part in masterclasses by Dina Joffe, Jerome Rose and Paul Gulda.
As part of the Robert Quintet chamber music ensemble, he won several international competitions in 2010-2011.
Ilya regularly takes part in Moscow music festivals.
