Nikolay Kondrashov, born in 2001 in Belgorod, studied at the Children’s School of Arts No. 1 in Belgorod, where he studied under Gennady Demenchuk. He later graduated from the Lieutenant General V. M. Khalilov Moscow Military Music School, where he studied under Mikhail Volkov. Since 2020, he has been a student at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, studying under Professor Erkin Yusupov.
He has received the following awards at national and international competitions:
In 2020, he received:
- the second prize at the International Competition "Golden Time Talent" (Georgia).
In 2021, he received:
- the first prize at the III International Competition for Wind and Percussion Instrument Performers "Sforzando" (Kazan).
In 2022, he received:
- the first prize at the XI International Competition for Musicians "Grand Music Art" (Yelets),
- the first prize at the III Interregional Competition-Festival for Wind and Percussion Instrument Performers named after Y. N. Dolzhikov (Moscow),
- the Grand Prix at the VI International Music Competition named after R. M. Glière (Moscow), and
- the first prize at the XI International Competition-Festival of Young Performers on Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion Instruments named after Y. N. Dolzhikov (Moscow).
In 2023, he received:
- the first prize at the VII All-Russian Open Competition for Brass and Percussion Instrument Performers named after A. A. Nesterov (Nizhny Novgorod).
He has participated in masterclasses with Oleg Makarishin, Vladimir Shkolnik, Erkin Yusupov, Arkady Starkov, Vladimir Batashov, and Alexey Lobikov.
He is a recipient of the “Creating the Future” award from the Gazprom Charity Fund (2023).
He participated in the Summer Session of the Volga Youth Symphony Orchestra (Togliatti-Samara-Ulyanovsk-Saransk) in 2021.
Since 2022, he has been an artist with the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra under Yuri Bashmet, touring Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, China, Greece, and Bulgaria.
