September 21, Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. St. Petersburg Music House and Rossotrudnichestvo invite to Vienna at the concert of series "Embassy of Musical Mastery". The Russian Centre of Science and culture will host the young solists, Winner of Delphic Games-2016 Roman Markelov (saxophone) and the laureate of international competitions Vitaliy Starikov (piano).
 
Audience will listen to masterpieces of Russian classics and contemporary music, such as Astor Piazzolla’s "History of Tango" and Concert-fantasy of young Spanish composer Santiago Baez on Bizet's music theme for drama "L'Arlesienne". Roman Markelov will show the rich possibilities of saxophone in Etude-Painting "Jungle" of Frenchman Christian Lauba, and the world-famous Hora Staccato of Romanian composer and violinist Grigoras Dinicu willl present in his own arrangement.
Vitaliy Starikov will perform the Russian classical music. Stravinsky`s Three Fragments from Ballet "Petrushka" portray a picture of the national celebrations. On Prokofiev`s Jubilee year will sound his Eighth Piano Sonata. The last one in the series of "war sonatas", it was finished in 1944 and brought the Stalin Prize to the author
 
Roman Markelov (22 years old). He was born in Belaya Kalitva, Rostov Region. Student at Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor Margarita Shaposhnikova). Winner of International Competition "The Voice of Saxophone in the Modern World" (Moscow, 2015) and the Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Tyumen, 2016). Participant of St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2015.
 
Vitaliy Starikov (21 years old). He was born in Yekaterinburg. Student of Moscow Conservatory (Class of Russian People's Artist Professor Eliso Virsaladze). Тhe Winner of International Competition "Citta di Barletta" (Italy, 2011). Participant of St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2012.

"Embassy of Musical Mastery" is a unique project of the St. Petersburg Music House and "Rossotrudnichestvo", which takes place since 2012 and includes the creative meetings of leading Russian musicians, as well as tours of the young soloists at the Russian Science and Cultural Centers abroad. The next concert in Vienna Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo will be held on October 5 for 110th Anniversary of Shostakovich.
