SAINT PETERSBURG MUSIC HOUSE
Born in 1994, Moscow. From 2001 to 2008 he studied at the Gnessins Moscow Special School of Music (Class of Elena Malkina). In 2012 he graduated the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor Alexander Vinnitskiy). Graduate of the Moscow Conservatory (class of Alexander Vinnitskiy), where currently is a post-graduate student in the class of the same teacher. The Laureate of International Competitions: 2010 – laureate of the II Prize at the II Beethoven International Violinist Competition (St. Pölten, Austria); 2014 – Winner at the III International Musical Competition in Stockholm (Sweden); 2015 – Laureate of the II Prize at the III Leopold Auer International Violinist Competition (St.Petersburg); 2016 – Laureate of the III Prize at the I Vladimir Spivakov International Competition (Ufa); 2017 – Laureate of the III Prize at the XI International Violin Competition Vaclav Huml (Zagreb, Croatia). Winner of the Grand Prix at the VII International Violin Competition in Astana; 2018 – Laureate of the III prize at the International Music Competition Harbin (China). Laureate of the II prize at the III All-Russian Music Competition (Moscow); 2018 - Laureate and the Special Award (the bow made by a french master) of the I Tretyakov International Violin Competition (Krasnoyarsk); 2019 - The Special Award of the XVI International Tchaikovsky competition (Moscow - St.Petersburg). Leonid Zhelezhy has award of the Charitable Foundation "Creating the future" of the company "Gazprom". He has been awarded the Grant of the company "Statoil" and the Yuri Bashmet' prize "For the beauty of sound" Leonid has participated in master classes of Boris Kushnir, Igor Petrushevski, Dmity Sitkovetsky, Zakhar Bron, Chaim Taub. Member of the St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2014.
