Vladimir Slovachevsky was born to family of musicians in 1991. From 1998 to 2005 he studied at Lyceum for Talented Children at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire. In 2006 he entered the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Austria), specialising in cello under Professor Kropfitsch.
Laureate of international competitions:
2007 - the 3rd Prize Maria Yudina International Chamber Music Competition, (St. Petersburg,
2007 - the 3rd Prize at the Osaka International Music Competition (Japan).
Vladimir participated masterclasses by Natalia Shakhovskaya, Natalia Gutman and Professor Helmerson.
He holds grants from several charities that support young talented musicians:
Orbelian Foundation, Spivakov Foundation, Rostropovich Foundation.
He's been concerting since he was young. He has taken part in many tours in Italy with famous Russian singer Irina Bogacheva. He performed solo in the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and made his debut at the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St Petersburg Philharmonic . Vladimir performed with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St Petersburg Philharmonic (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Yuri Temirkanov). He regularly performs at the most prestigious concert venues in Moscow - the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Singing Center, the Music House, in the Kremlin. He has frequently performed with symphony orchestras in various Russian cities. He works closely with young composer Alexander Prior, often playing with him and performing Prior's compositions in various countries.
