Andrey was born in Moscow, in 1987. In 2006, he finished the Gnessins Moscow Secondary Special Music School (college) (class of Lydia Grigorieva) with honors. Then he graduated from the Gnessins Russian State Academy of Music and passed the postgraduate program in the same place (class of Professor Sergey Senkov) Today, Andrey Dubov is a postgraduate student of Mozarteum Salzburg, Austria (class of Professor Andreas Groethuysen).
Laureate of international competitions:
2006 - winner of the I All-Russian Piano Competition "Path to Mastery" (Rusa).
2008 - winner and Gold medalist of the VII Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Novosibirsk).
2010 - winner in the categories "Solo Concert Performance" and "Concert Performance with Orchestra" at "Festival of Romantic Music of Young Musicians in Moscow."
2011 - laureate of the II prize at the XXIII International Piano Competition in Epinal (France).
2012 - laureate of the III prize at the V Rubinstein International Piano Competition (Dresden, Germany).
2014 - Grand Prize winner of the I “eMuse” International Music Competition, (Greece).
In 2011 Andrey took part in the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition (I round).
2015 - winner of VII Almaty International Piano Competition (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan).
2016 - laureate of the III prize at the IV Hong Kong International Piano Competition (China).
The musician is a fellow of the Russian President and a fellow of Gnessins Award (2009). He performs a lot on tours throughout Russia and abroad. The best Moscow and Saint-Petersburg concert halls know him playing with the leading orchestras of the country.
Andrey participated in the Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, and Chopin festivals. Since 2008, the pianist has taken part in the Saint-Petersburg Music House programs: “Musical Team of Russia”, “River of Talents”, "Young Interpreters of Russia”. master-classes of Vladimir Mischuk, Dmitry Bashkirov.
