Andrey Taranukha (percussion instruments)

INTERVIEW.  SOLOIST OF FEBRUARY 2024

Andrey Taranukha was born in Sevastopol in 2004. Studied at the St. Petersburg Lyceum of Arts, where he studies with Boris Estrin, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. He is currently a student at the  Rimsky-Korsakov State St-Petersburg Conservatory.

Laureate of the All-Russian and international competitions

2013

• Prize winner at the Saint Petersburg Open Competition for Young Percussionists;

2015

• The First Prize Award in the Third International Competition of Children's and Youth's Art "Melodies of Scarlet Sails" in St. Petersburg;

2016

• The First Prize Award in the Fifth Saint Petersburg Open Percussion and Wind Competition for Youth;
• The First Prize Award in the Second International Competition for Young Musicians "Art-Premium Awards" in Saint Petersburg;
• The First Prize Award in the DrumsFest Russia International Competition and Festival in Moscow;

2019

• The First Prize Award in the First All-Russian competition of young musicians "Constellation" in the Sirius Education Center in Sochi.

2022

• Winner of the IV International Percussion Competition in the category 20-26 years old (St. Petersburg)

2016 to 2017: Diploma Awards in the 17th and 18th International Television Competition for Young Musicians "The Nutcracker" in Moscow.
He is also a holder of the Saint Petersburg Government Award "Young Talents 2017".

Participant of the St. Petersburg Music House programs since 2022.
