Born in 2005 in Moscow, Alexander Khanychev is currently a student at the Academic Music College affiliated with the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studies under the guidance of Dmitry Barkov.
He is a laureate of international competitions:
2022 – First-degree diploma winner at the 9th International Competition-Festival for Percussion, Marching, and Wind Instruments "Percussion Wave" in the category "Orchestral Percussion" (Saint Petersburg);
2023 – First prize winner at the 4th International Percussion Instrument Performers Competition, DRUMTIME, in the category "Orchestral Percussion" (Saint Petersburg).
As a soloist, Alexander has performed in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and the Moscow Concert Hall "Zaryadye," where he performed with the Wind Orchestra of the Academic Music College under the direction of Kirill Cherchik. In 2023, Alexander founded the percussion ensemble "Four Ways."
Since 2023, Alexander Khanychev has been a participant in projects by the Saint Petersburg Music House.
