March 18, Saturday at 9.30 p.m., St. Petersburg Music House invites to Portugal for Concert of Series "Embassy of Musical Mastery" within the First Piano Festival in Algarve. Alexei Sychev will present his vision of Sergei Rachmaninoff`s Third Piano Concerto to the wide audience. Having given the main role to piano, the composer "subordinated" the Orchestra to him endowing the instrument ability to "sing" by his own admission. Piano concerts are rightly considered as the pinnacle of Rachmaninoff's creativity, and the Third Concerto, according to Russian musicologist Boris Asafiev, has been formed the "titanic composer`s style".
