Vladimir Kruglov was born in 2006 in Saint Petersburg. He began his musical education in 2013 at the Secondary Special Music School affiliated with the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, where he studied under the guidance of Khanyafi Chinakaev, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. From 2016, he continued his studies at the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts, working in the class of Maxim Orekhov, graduating with honors.
Since 2024, he has been a student at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, where he is studying under the guidance of Alexey Konoplyannikov.
Vladimir Kruglov is a laureate of a number of national and international competitions:
In 2017, he won first prize at the Sixth International Competition-Festival for Young Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments named after Yuri Dolzhikov in Moscow.
In 2018, he was awarded first prize at the Crescendo Competition in St. Petersburg.
In 2020, he received the Grand Prix at the First International Kamerton Competition in Moscow, as well as the Gold Medal at the Fifth Manhattan International Music Competition in New York and the Grand Prix at the Sixth International Competition for Musicians in Cyprus.
In 2021, he took third prize at the Seventeenth International Competition of the Central Music School in the wind and percussion category in Moscow.
In 2023, he won the Grand Prix at the First All-Russian Youth Competition for Woodwind Performers Nevsky Wind in St. Petersburg.
In 2024, he became the first prize winner at the Thirteenth International Art Competition Caspi Art in Turkey.
He has taken part in masterclasses led by David Strunk, Olga Tomilova, Pavel Kundyank, and Eric Speller. In 2020, he participated in the Sirius Educational Center’s creative session in the class of Olga Tomilova.
Vladimir Kruglov is a scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
As a soloist and ensemble musician, he has performed across Russia, appearing in the concert halls of the Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, and Novosibirsk Philharmonic Societies, as well as in cities including Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Smolensk, Kostroma, Tula, and Veliky Novgorod. He has also appeared internationally, with performances in Finland, Poland, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Turkey.
Since 2025, Vladimir Kruglov has been taking part in the programs of the Saint Petersburg Music House.
