Vladimir Shubin was born in Leningrad in 1980. He graduated from Music School No.12 in Leningrad from the French horn class in 1996. In 1997 he entered the Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music with a specialisation in double bass (class of Professor Rostislav Yakovlev). In 2000, after graduating from the College of Music, he entered the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire by the same professor. After graduating in 2005, he entered a postgraduate course at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire.
Laureate of international competitions:
2007 - the 1st prize at the International Strings Competition in Togliatti.
1999 -2002 he played in the Mariinsky Theatre Youth Orchestra. Since 2005, he has been working in the State Academic Capella Symphony Orchestra. as deputy pincipal of the double bass group.
