Alyona Solomkina, born in 2002 in Moscow, studied at the Myaskovsky Children's Music School, where she studied under teacher Svetlana Vorobyova. In 2022, she graduated with honors from the Gnessin Music College, where she studied under Professor Milda Agazaryan, and since that year, she has been a student at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, continuing under the same teacher.
She has received the following awards at national and international competitions:
In 2020, she received:
- the first prize at the Kamerton Competition, the First International Competition for Musical Performance (Moscow).
In 2022, she received:
- the first prize at the III International Competition-Festival "Colors of Music" (Moscow), and
- the second prize at the V Open Youth Harp Competition named after M. A. Rubin (Moscow).
In 2023, she received:
- the second prize at the International Music Competition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of S. V. Rachmaninoff (Saint Petersburg).
In 2024, she received:
- the first prize at the VII All-Russian Competition for Performers "Music, Talent, Discovery" (Moscow).
She has participated in masterclasses with Isabelle Moretti (France), Mara Galassi (Italy), Yulia Rovinskaya (Israel), and Milda Agazaryan (Russia).
She is a laureate of the "Young Talents of Russia" award (Moscow, 2023) and a recipient of a Presidential Grant. She is also an artist with the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Yuri Bashmet.
Alyona has participated in the Harp Masters Academy (Switzerland, 2019) and the Summer Schools at the Gnessin Special Music School (2016, 2017). She has performed at festivals such as Gnessin Air on Znamenka (Moscow) and the Winter Festival (Sochi), and she is part of the "Gnessin Harpists" concert series.
She is actively engaged in concert performances. She has performed in the halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, the Moscow International House of Music, and the Moscow Composers' House.
