Andrey Samarin (trumpet)

Born in Omsk in 1999. Andrei began practicing trumpet at Znamensky Surgut High School of Russian Culture (class of Sergei Samarin) when he was 7. In 2018, he graduated with honors from the Ural High School of Music (class of Alexander Gorky) at which he had been studying since 2015. Since 2018, he is pursuing his study at Rimski-Korssakov St.Petersburg State Conservatory (class of professor Borsi Taburetkin).
 
2017 – laureate of the 2nd prize of the 5th V.I.Shchelokov International Competition for trumpeters and brass ensembles (Ekaterinburg).
 
Winner of the New Names Foundation scholarship. He attended master classes by Konradin Groth, Ivan Mozgovenko, Andrei Guriev.  He is giving performances since he was child. 
Participant of Saint-Petersburg Music House programs since 2016 (master classes of the «Embassy of Musical Mastery»).
