Born in 1974 in Moscow. He graduated from Central Music School at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, and then, from Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Germany). In 2002, he completed his post-graduate studies there, from the class of People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor Vladimir Krainev. Since 2004, Andrey Zhavoronkov is teaching at Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
He has been awarded at various international contests:
1998 - winner of the International Competition in Spain (Ferrol)
1999 - winner of the Prokofiev International Competition (St. Petersburg).
Andrey Zhavoronkov performs solo and with Russian orchestras in Russia (halls of conservatories in Moscow and St. Petersburg), as well as in Europe and Ukraine. He also plays in chamber ensembles, including the Yuri Bashmet “Soloists of Moscow”.
He successfully combines his teaching activities with active methodological and educational activities: he is involved in activities of Sirius All-Russian Educational Center, holds workshops in many cities and regions of Russia, regularly serves on the jury at children and youth competitions.
