SOLOIST OF MARCH 2018. INTERVIEW.
Dmitry was born in a family of Saint-Petersburg musicians, in 1994. He started to study music when he was 4 years old. In 2001, Dmitry finished the Secondary Special Music School of the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory (class of the Honored Cultural Worker Elena Zaiceva, Anastasia Milka). He is currently student of Lausanne Institute of Advanced Musical Studie s (mentored by Professor Pavel Vernikov) and Basel Music Academy.
Dmitry has a lot of prizes and awards of international music competitions:
Rotary International Competition – 2nd Prize (Moscow, 2005);
International Children's Competition "II piccolo violin magico" – 1st Prize (Portogruaro, 2007);
International Competition of the German Charity Fund of Gartow – 1st Prize (Saint-Petersburg, 2007);
International Oistrakh Competition (Moscow, 2006) – 1st Prize and Special Award,
Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists (Cardiff, 2008) – 2nd Prize;
1st All-Russian Music Competition – 2nd Prize (Moscow, 2011).
the Concours international de violon Tibor Varga Sion Valais - 1st Prize and audience award (Sion, Switzerland 2015).
Winner of the Audience Choice Award at the International Musical Olympus Festival (Saint-Petersburg, 2017)
International Competition «Concours d'Interprétation Musicale de Lausanne» - 1st Prize (Lausanne, Switzerland 2017). Winner of the International violin competition "Rotary Excellence Prize" (Lauzanne, Switzerland).
2018 - laureate of the III prize at the Long–Thibaud–Crespin International Competition (France).
In April, 2007, the Russian violinist made his debut on the stage of Carnegie Hall, and in 2009 he appeared on the stage of Wigmore Hall in London. Various international music festivals such as "Crescendo", "Music Olympus", "L'estate musicale", "Popcomm", "Moscow meets friends", "Inverno musicale", Salzburg Festival, etc. have welcomed his virtuoso playing the violin.
Dmitry has performed with the "Moscow Virtuosi" orchestra, Saint-Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Novaya Rossiya (New Russia) State Symphony Orchestra, Camerata orchestra, "Solisti Veneti e Padova", "Moscowia" orchestra, Minsk Chamber Orchestra, State Symphony Capella of Russia, Volgograd Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, etc.
Since 2011, Dmitry has participated in the Saint-Petersburg Music House programs.
