Ekaterina was born in St. Petersburg in 1985. She started to learn to play violin at the Secondary Special School-Lyceum at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. In 1995 she continued her studies at St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of professor Antonina Kazarina).
Laureate of international competitions:
2002 - The special prize “Hope” at the 12th Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow);
2003 – The 1st prize at the 9th International LOUIS SPOHR Competition for Young Violinists, (Germany).
2004 - The 3rd prize at the 2nd Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition (Moscow).
Ekaterina is a grant-holder of the “Slava” Music Foundation of Mstislav Rostropovich (1999-2002), the Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation (1999), a grant-holder of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation (2002-2004).
She took part in various international festivals in Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Holland. She participated in concerts and presentations of Stradivarius violins in Moscow and St. Petersburg. She has frequently performed with orchestras in Russia, Germany, Finland and Slovakia.
