April 19, Tuesday at 5 p.m. St. Petersburg Music House and Rossotrudnichestvo invites to Warsaw for concert of "Embassy of Musical Mastery", dedicated to the 125th Anniversary of Sergei Prokofiev. The Russian Science and Cultural Center will host the solists of Music House - the laureates of International competitions Dmitry Smirnov (piano) and Andrei Telkov (piano).
 
This musical evening is dedicated to the multifaceted genius Prokofiev, who was born on 23 April. First of all, the listeners will hear the lyrics: famous Five Melodies for violin and piano, light and bright Prelude Opus "Ten Pieces for Piano" and incredibly difficult Toccata in D Minor. They will hear fragments of the world famous ballet "Romeo and Juliet" and "Cinderella".
The Great Patriotic War played the great importance in the creative work of Prokofiev. The composer dedicated to these tragic events most of his works, while some of them will be heard that evening, such as a serious and thoughtful First Violin Sonata and Waltz from the grandiose opera "War and Peace".
         This program also covers the Western European music: bright Sonata in E-flat major by the Viennese classics Haydn and "Reflections in Water" from the impressionist series "Images" by Claude Debussy.
 
Dmitry Smirnov (21 years old). Born in St. Petersburg. A Graduate of the Central Special Music School at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Student of the Higher School of Music in Lausanne (Switzerland). II Prize Laureate at All-Russia Music Competition (Moscow, 2011). The Winner of Tibor Varga International Competition (Switzerland, 2015). The Member of St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2011.
 
Andrei Telkov (24 years old). Born in Voronezh. Postgraduate Student of the St. Petersburg Conservatory (Class of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Alexander Sandler). The Laureate of Schumann International Competition (Germany, 2012). The Member of St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2011.

"Embassy of Musical Mastery" is a unique project of the St. Petersburg Music House and "Rossotrudnichestvo", which takes place since 2012 and includes the creative meetings of leading Russian musicians, as well as tours of the young soloists at the Russian Science and Cultural Centers abroad. The Series of Concerts of "Embassy of Musical Mastery" have been dedicated to the 125th Anniversary of Sergei Prokofiev, which will continue by the performances of Soloists of Music House at Rossotrudnichestvo Offices in Brussels and Bratislava on 21 April and on 22 April in Prague.
