May 17, Friday at 7.30 p.m. St. Petersburg Music House and Rossotrudnichestvo invite to Nicosia at concert of the "Embassy of Musical Mastery" series. On the Victory Day, Russian Science and Cultural Center will host the St.Petersburg Music House soloists - laureates of international competitions Vitalii Starikov (piano) and Polina Borisova (violin).
 
The Audience will enjoy in a real journey through the pages of world musical culture that will open Debussy`s Estampes: Oriental "Pagoda", south of the habanera "Evening in Granada" and cool "Gardens in the Rain", as well as Brahms` Contemplation and his Hungarian Dances.
Guests of this evening will see Mussorgsky`s Pictures at an Exhibition, created in memory of Viktor Hartmann, the founder of the Russian Architecture Style. National themes will continue with  Tchaikovsky's works – famous Melodies and Russian Dances from the ballet "Swan Lake".
The bright part of program wil be Russian XX Century music: Prokofiev's Marches from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" and the opera "The Love for Three Oranges", Rodion Shchedrin piece Imitating Albéniz, which he dedicated to his wife, the legendary ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, and Igor Frolov`s works: Piece in Blues Style and Sirbu, composed on the basis of the Moldovan-Romanian melodies.
 
Vitalii Starikov (21 years old). Born in Yekaterinburg. The Student of the Moscow Conservatory (from 2013 to 2015 – class People's Artist of Russia, Professor Vera Gornostaeva, from 2016 – class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor Eliso Virsaladze). Winner of International Competition "Citta di Barletta" (Italy, 2011).  Member of St. Petersburg Music House program since 2012.
 
Polina Borisova (28 years old). Born in Ryazan. Graduate of the Moscow Conservatory (Class of Professor Ara Bogdanyan). Winner of International Competition "Muses of the World" (Moscow, 2014), "Night in Madrid" (Spain, 2015), Agustin Aponte Competition (Spain, 2016). Member of St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2013.

"Embassy of Musical Mastery" is a unique project of the St. Petersburg Music House and "Rossotrudnichestvo", which takes place since 2012 and includes the creative meetings of leading Russian musicians, as well as tours of the young soloists at the Russian Science and Cultural Centers abroad. "Embassy of Musical Mastery" will give Serise of Concerts dedicated to Victory Day: 6 May in Madrid, 7 May in Bethlehem, 9 May in Tel Aviv.
