He was born in 1991, Mamakan village of Irkutsk Region. He attended the Music School №7 (Class of Mikhail Lapis) in Irkutsk. He graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (Class of Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Shilo). In 2016 he took a course by professor Eugene Levinson at the Juilliard School (Fulbright Program). Since 2019 till now, he is the Concertmaster of double-bass gruop of Mariinsky Orchestra.
The laureate of international competitions:
2008 - The winner of Regional Competition for Stringed Instruments (Irkutsk);
2010 - The winner of II Open Interregional Competition for Young Performers on Bowed Instruments (Irkutsk);
2013 – The winner at V Kusevitzky International Competition (St. Petersburg).
2022 - The winner at the 6th Manhattan International Online Music Competition (New York)
He was a participant of master classes by Rinat Ibragimov, Eugene Levinson, Thomas Martin, Alberto Bochchini and Peter Yuga.
He became the Holder of Irkutsk Region Governor's Scholarship twice (2007 and 2009).
From 2011 to 2013, he was the Artist of Mikhailovsky Theatre Orchestra.
He played as the soloist with such Orchestras as Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Academic Orchestra, St. Petersburg Academic Capella, Irkutsk Region Governor`s Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra "Amadeus" and "Cantarella".
He successfully performed in major Russian venues: St. Petersburg Academic Capella, Concert Hall of Mariinsky Theatre, Small Hall of St. Petersburg Shostakovich Philharmonia, Irkutsk, Sverdlovsk and Veliky Novgorod Philharmonics.
He cooperated with such Conductors as Alexey Vasiliev, Eugene Volyn, Alexander Titov, Viktor Sobolev, Tatiana Akimova, Nimrod Pfeffer and Christian Knapp.
He has participated at international festivals: "Musical Olympus" (2015), "Planet Contrabass", "Educational Bridge", Moscow Easter Festival (2018, 2019), Festival Musica em Trancoso (Brasil, 2019).
In 2010 at the Small hall of the St.Petersburg Philharmonia the premiere took place – Evgeny Ryzhkov soloed in dedicated to him Double bass concerto by Mikhail Lapis.
Participates St. Petersburg Music House’ Programs since 2011.
