Vladimir Ivanov (1948) has graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky and the post-graduate studies in the class of Prof. Yu.I. Yankelevich. Is the 1st Prizewinner at the International Competition named after J.S. Bach (Leipzig, 1972), winner of the Gold Medal of the International Competition named after Katya Popova in Bulgaria; was a concertmaster of the students orchestra - the winner of the International Competition of Orchestras named after Herbert von Karajan in Berlin. Is a Professor, Head of Violin Department and Dean of Orchestra Faculty at the Moscow Conservatory. Winners of international competitions are among students of V. Ivanov. Has been performing in the ”Moscow Trio“ since 1976.
