PLAYBILL of ST.PETERSBURG MUSIC HOUSE (september, 2015)

September 23, Wednesday, 7 pm. The Saint-Petersburg Music House (122, Moyka embankment) invites the audience to the “Musical watercolors” flute and piano concert. The soloists are Aleksandr Petrov (flute), winner of the “Window to Europe” International Festival and Competition (Saint-Petersburg, 2010), and Alexander Kashpurin (piano), winner and holder of special awards of the 9th Chopin Golden Ring  International Competition of Young Pianists (Slovenia, 2013). The program of the evening will feature pieces by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Skryabin, Rakhmaninov, Karg, Balleron, Prokofiev and Kornakov.
The audience age restriction is 12+, admission ticket cost is 300-350 roubles  
 
September 30, Wednesday, 7 pm. On the stage of the English Hall of the Saint-Petersburg Music house (122 Moyka embankment), one of Russia’s oldest chamber ensembles, the Moscow Trio: Alexander Bonduryansky (piano), Vladimir Ivanov (violin) and Mikhail Utkin (cello), will perform to commemorate the 175th anniversary of P.I. Tchaikovsky. The concert program will feature pieces by Tchaikovsky and Taneyev.
The audience age restriction is 12+, admission ticket cost is 350-400 roubles  
 
 

“River of Talents” project starting

September 8 through 11, the Music House is to begin its 9th season of the “River of talents” project with master classes in the rooms of its palace in 122, Moyka. This time, 46 young talents from 12 regions of Russia are to take part in the individual sessions. Russia’s outstanding artists are to share their expertise with them; they are to conduct master classes on 7 specializations: piano, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone and percussion.
 
September 9 and 10 - Open master classes for young musicians as part of the “River of talents - 2015” project. Distinguished Artist of Russia Aleksander Sandler (piano) and People’s Artist of Russia Mikhail Gantvarg (violin) will share their know-hows.
Timing of master classes: 10 am - 2.30 pm - Aleksander Sandler.
3 pm - 6 pm - Mikhail Gantvarg.
The audience age restriction is 12+, admission ticket cost is 100 roubles.

Master classes at the Sirius Educational Center in Sochi

From 1 through 24 of September, as part of the "Embassy of Musical Mastery" project, at the Sirius Educational Center, which was created in Sochi by "Talent and Success" Fund , creative school classes will takes place, which bring together young musicians who have shown talent in the following specialties: piano (13 years); harp, cello and violin (15-16 years). The participants of the IV Autumn Session have an opportunity to take part in the master classes of outstanding teachers. Professors of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory - pianist Tatiana Zagorovskaya, harpist Irina Tischenko (Donskaya), cellist Alexey Massarsky, and composer Natalia Karsh, a teacher of the composition class at the Okhta center of aesthetic education, have arrived from the Northern Capital. Pianist, Dean of the Piano Faculty at Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, Professor Sergey Senkov, and Professor of the Moscow Conservatory Maxim Fedotov (violin) will share their expertise. The head of the Department of History of Russian Music of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory Professor Zivar Guseynova gave lectures about the work of Mikhail Glinka and Alexander Dargomyzhsky and about Russian music of the second half of the nineteenth century. The entry to Sirius Education Center is closed for outside visitors.

September 3, 15, 17, 22, 24 and 29, 4 pm (On Tuesdays and Thursdays) we invite you to regular excursions round the grand halls of the Alexeevsky palace (the Music House), the residence of the Grand Duke Alexey Alexandrovich Romanov. The building in the historicism style erected on the Moika, 122 is the creative peak of Maximilian Messmacher. Ticket price: 350 rub.

September 15, Tuesday, 6 pm. Vladikavkaz is hosting “Musical Team of Russia” in the framework of “Larisa Gergieva and Guests” festival. Masterpieces of Russian and European music will be performed by Arsenii Mun (piano), laureate of the CLIBURN International Junior Piano Competition (Forth Worth, US, 2015) and Nikita Lyutikov (clarinet), laureate of the International Clarinet Player Contest in Gent, Belgium. September 17, Thursday, 6.30 pm, at the Samara State Philharmonic, in the framework of the “Musical Team of Russia”  project, the New Names and Russian Performer Art foundations fellow Andrey Godik (oboe) will perform. Together with the chamber orchestra “Volga Philharmonic” he will perform the baroque and classicism pieces by Handel, Rameau, Vivaldi, Bach, Marcello and Mozart. Conduction will be performed by Joseph Suylen.

September 16, Wednesday, 7.30 pm at the Russian Scientific and Cultural Centre in Paris, the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” series concert will take place, where Ionella Marinutca, harp-player, the winner of the Leopold Bellan International contest (France, 2015), and the Queen Elizabeth International Contest winner (Brussels, 2010) pianist Yury Favorin will perform. The evening’s program will feature pieces by Russian and European composers.

September 17, Thursday 7.30 pm, at the Russian Center for Arts and Culture in Brussels, the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” concert will takes place. The public will be able to enjoy a solo performance by Yury Favorin, pianist, laureate of the Olivier Messiaen international contest (Paris, 2007). The program will feature pieces by Beethoven, Liszt, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky to the 175th anniversary of the composer.

September 17 to 19 The Saint-Petersburg Music House and the Mission of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bulgaria invite you to Sofia and Kyustendil to attend the concerts of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery”. Flautist Aleksandr Petrov, the winner at the “Window to Europe” International Festival and Competition (Saint-Petersburg, 2010) and pianist Alexander Kashpurin, the winner at the “Chopin Golden Ring” International Competition (Slovenia, 2013) will perform for the Bulgarian audience. The program consists of classical Russian and European pieces and modern music by Japanese composer.

Pieces by Beethoven, List, Prokofiyev and Tchaikovsky to the 175th anniversary of the latter, will be performed for the Luxemburg public.

September 23, Wednesday, 7.30 pm  in Linz, Austria, a symphonic concert in the framework of the Bruckner Festival will take place.  Sergey Roldugin, cellist, People’s Artist of Russia and artistic director of the Music House, along with laureates of the Tchaikovsky International Competition Sergey Redkin (piano) and Pavel Milyukov (violin) will perform for the Austrian public. The program features Bruckner’s Overture G-moll, as well as Triple Concerto by Beethoven, the best known piece in its genre.

September 23 and 24, on Wednesday and Thursday with the assistance of the Mission of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bratislava the concerts of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” will take place. The Slovak capital will greet the winner of the International Trumpet Competition (Tallinn, 2014) Nikolai Stranatkovskii and the winner of the International Competition for Young Pianists (Netherlands, 2012) Vladislav Fedorov.

Admirers of music will listen to the performance of the orchestral musician of the Mariinsky Theatre Nikolai Stranatkovskii (trumpet) and the winner of the Franz Liszt International Competition (Germany, 2011) Vladislav Fedorov (piano).

September 29,  Tuesday, 7.30 pm in Linz, within the framework of the Bruckner Festival,  the “Russian Tuesday” symphonic concert will take place. Pianist Miroslav Kultyshev, winner of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, will perform Rakhmaninov’s Third Concerto on the Austrian stage.
