State theatre of Opera and ballet (Vladikavkaz)
State Opera and ballet theatre of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania was opened in 1972. Over the years 8 Ossetian national operas, the first Ossetian ballet "Hetag" by D. Hahanov and 11 Ossetian operettas were put on the stage. The world Opera classics, Russian operas and operettas, ballets are in the repertoire. Artistic Director of the Theatre is Honoured artist of Russia Larisa Gergieva.
