Embassy of Mastery concerts by People’s Unity Day, November 4. It is is a national holiday established by the Federal Law “On Military Glory Days in Russia” in December 2004 and celebrated since 2005.
The holiday is a tribute to the events of 1612, when the people’s volunteer corps that came together when faced by the common menace, upon a call of Patriarch Hermogenes and led by prince Dmitry Pozharsky and citizen Kuz’ma Minin liberated Moscow from the Polish invaders, while the first representative of the new dynasty, Mikhail Romanov, ascended to the throne.
November 3, Tuesday, 7.30 pm in Linz, Austria, another “Russian Tuesday” in Brucknerhaus will take place. Soloists from the Mariinsky Theatre Academy of Young Opera Singers Antonina Vesenina (soprano), Elena Gorlo (mezzo-soprano) and Iaroslav Petrianik (baritone) will perform arias from well-known operas and Russian romances.

November 3, Tuesday, 6 pm the Music House and Rossotrudnichestovo invite for the Embassy of Musical Mastery concert in Madrid. Winner of S. Kushnevitsky International Cellist Contest (Saratov, 2012) Elina Faskhitdinova (cello) and “Best accompanier” of P.I. Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, 2015) Anna Odintsova (piano) will perform. The program features works by Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn, and, specially for the Spanish public, by Manuel de Falla.

November 3, Tuesday at the Palestinian Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bethlehem the Embassy of Musical Mastery concert will take place. Winner of Antonio Salieri Prize International Music Competition (Italy, 2015) Andrei Sannikov (flute) and laureate of the 3rd prize of the Gershwin International Competition (USA, 2015) pianist Natalia Sokolovskaya will perform the pieces from the Russian and European classics.

November 3, Tuesday, 7.30 pm Russian Center of Science and Culture in Paris will be again receiving the Ambassadors Musical Mastery. Aleksandr Petrov (flute), winner of Window to Europe International Contest Festival (Saint Petersburg, 2009) and Fedor Amosov (cello), recipient of the prize “For the best performance of a concerto with a chamber orchestra in the second tour” at Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, 2015), will perform. The program of the evening includes music of the 19th and 20th centuries. The piano part will be performed by Lyudmila Nabok, award-winner of international competitions.

November 25, Wednesday, 6.30 pm “Embassy of Musical Mastery” is due to arrive again to the Austrian capital. Alexey Lobikov (trombone), laureate of the Prague Spring International Contest (Czech Republic, 2011) and Nikita Lyutikov, laureate of the International Contest of clarinet players in Ghent (Belgium, 2015), will perform at Russian Center of Science and Culture in Vienna. The soloists will play the works of the Russian and European composers.

November 25 and 26, Tuesday and Wednesday, the concerts by “Embassy of Musical Mastery” are due to take place in Slovakia: in Bratislava and, for the first time in Banska Bystrica. Winner of the International Academic Saxophone Player Competition (Germany, 2014) Vladimir Ustyancev and soloist of Moscow Philharmonic Hall Philipp Kopachevskiy will perform pieces from different ages, from Bach to Gershwin.

November 26, Thursday, 6 pm in Ljubljana the tour by “Embassy of Mastery” will continue. November 28 and 29, on Saturday and Sunday Music House soloists and Rossotrudnichestvo will for the first time arrive with the “Embassy of Musical Mastery” concerts to the Republic of Congo. The performance by Alexey Morozov, winner of the UNISA Competition International Flutist contest (SAR, 2014) and Nikolai Saratovskii (piano), winner of Arcangelo Speranza International Competition in Taranto (Italy, 2014), will take place at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brazzaville and French Institute. On November 29, the soloists will also conduct master classes at RCSC for the young musicians from the Republic of Congo.
