The concert of Nikita Lyutukov (clarinet) and Alexey Lobikov (trombone) in Vienna on November, 25
November 25, Wednesday, 6.30 pm St. Petersburg Music House and “Rossotrudnichestvo” would like to invite to the concert of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery”, which will be held in Vienna. The laureates of international competitions Alexey Lobikov (trombone) and Nikita Lyutikov (clarinet) will perform at the Russian Center of Science and Culture. The laureate of international competitions Veronica Salikhova will perform the pianoforte part.
The wind music evening will take place in the in the Austrian capital that will feature the works by Debussy: Minuet from “Little Suite” in the soloist’s own transcription and First Rhapsody. The Symphonic Play by Frenchman Alexandre Guilmant will be performed - despite the fact that it involves only two instruments; contrast and variety of sounds allow to create the illusion of surround orchestral or organ performance. The audience will get acquainted with the Concert Sketch No.5 by Vladislav Blazhevich, the founder of the Russian and Soviet school of trombone playing. The guests will also hear the virtuoso works for clarinet: the popular Sonata by Poulenc, Concertino by von Weber and recognizable melodies of Fantasy on themes of “Rigoletto” by Italian Luigi Bassi. Modern music will also be performed - the “Colours” concert by Belgian Bert Appermont dedicated to four colors, each of which has certain characteristics, associations and emotions.
Alexei Lobikov (aged 28). Born in St. Petersburg. A graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory (the class of the People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Victor Sumerkin). The winner of the musical contest of trombonists “Lion’s Club” (Finland, 2009). Prizewinner of the III prize of the International Competition “Prague Spring” (Czech Republic, 2011). Since 2012, he has been a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. A member of the Music House programmes since 2006.
Nikita Lyutikov (aged 24). Born in St. Petersburg. Post-graduate student of the St. Petersburg Conservatory (the class of Professor Andrei Kazakov). Second prizewinner of the Russian-German Woodwind Instrument Performer’s Competition of the Gartow Charitable Foundation (2011). Second prizewinner of the International Clarinet Competition in Ghent (Belgium, 2015). A member of the Music House programmes since 2008.

The “Embassy of Musical Mastery” is a unique project by the St. Petersburg Music House and “Rossotrudnichestvo” that has been taking place since 2012 and includes the visiting sessions of master-classes of the leading musicians in Russia and tours of the successful young soloists in the Russian Centers of Science and Culture in Europe.
The St. Petersburg Music House is a federal cultural institution created in 2006 to train young Russian musicians for international competitions and festivals occupying the Palace of Grand Duke Alexei Romanov at 122 Moika embankment. The Music House holds its tenth anniversary season in 2015/2016.
The Artistic Director is the famous cellist, People’s Artist of Russia professor Sergey Roldugin.
