The “Embassy of Musical Mastery” will perform in Republic of the Congo on November 28 and 29
November 28 and 29, Saturday and Sunday St. Petersburg Music House and “Rossotrudnichestvo” would like to invite to the concerts of the “Embassy of Musical Mastery”, which will be held in the capital of the Republic of the Congo, Brazzaville. The laureates of international competitions Alexei Morozov (flute) and Nikolay Saratovskii (piano) will perform at the Russian Center of Science and Culture and the French Institute of Congo. On November 29, the soloists will teach master classes to young musicians at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture.
The audience is in for a varied programme consisting of masterpieces of world classical music. Music lovers will hear excerpts from the Suite in E-major by Bach and works of famous “romantics”: Schumann, Chopin, Reinecke, as well as musical impressionists - Saint-Saens and Gaubert. The works of two great Russian composers of the 20th century will be performed: Vocalise and Preludes by Rachmaninoff, Scherzo for Flute and Third Sonata by Prokofiev.
In the year of the 140th anniversary of Ravel, his Piano Sonatina will be performed. Tchaikovsky’s 175th anniversary will be celebrated with the performance of his “Dumka” and Lensky’s Aria from the opera “Eugene Onegin”. Folk music is also on the list - the audience is in for the Spanish Rhapsody by Liszt and popular romance “Nightingale” by Alyabiev. Argentinean motives will begin to sound in contemporary works by Astor Piazzolla – “Goodbye Nonino”.
Alexei Morozov (aged 29). Born in Moscow. Graduated from the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (the class of Professor Albert Hoffmann, the People’s Artist of Russia). A laureate of the 3rd prize at the International Flute Competition “UNISA competition” (South Africa, 2014). A soloist of the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra. A member of the Music House programmes since 2015.
Nikolay Saratovsky (aged 28). Born in Petrozavodsk. A graduate of the Moscow Conservatory (the class of Professor Elena Richter). A laureate of the 3rd prize at the International Piano Competition in Taranto (Italy, 2013). A laureate of the 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition in Madrid (Spain, 2013). A winner of the International Competition “Arcangelo Speranza” in Taranto (Italy, 2014). A member of the Music House programmes since 2009.

The “Embassy of Musical Mastery” is a unique project by the St. Petersburg Music House and “Rossotrudnichestvo” that has been taking place since 2012 and includes the visiting sessions of master-classes of the leading musicians in Russia and tours of the successful young soloists in the Russian Centers of Science and Culture in foreign countries.
The St. Petersburg Music House is a federal cultural institution created in 2006 to train young Russian musicians for international competitions and festivals occupying the Palace of Grand Duke Alexei Romanov at 122 Moika embankment. The Music House holds its tenth anniversary season in 2015/2016.
The Artistic Director is the famous cellist, People’s Artist of Russia professor Sergey Roldugin.
