Yury Favorin will give a solo concert in Austria on January 19
January 19, Tuesday, at 19.30 St Petersburg Music House and Brucknerhaus will organize a concert in Linz under the joint project "Russian Tuesday". Austrian audience will listen Laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition (Brussells, 2010) pianist Yury Favorin.
The guests willl hear that evening a real kaleidoscope of French classics. There will be performed romantic Bizet's Chromatic Variations, about Modernism will "tell" Poulenc`s Three Pieces, virtuosic piano Symphony by Charles-Valentin Alkan willl present the musical decadence. Therewill be also impressionist masterpieces. Orchestral Ravel`s Waltz – choreographic poem arranged for piano - will remind the audience of the capital balls. The vibrant part of the evening will be Debussy`s Preludes: filled with dance rhythms of the Spanish habanera "Gates of the Alhambra", "Puck's dance" and colourful "Fireworks".
For 140th anniversary of Manuel de Falla soloist will plays its piece "In Memory of Claude Debussy", as well as "Fantasia Baetica", which will "transfer" the listeners in sunny Andalusia.
Yury Favorin (29 years). Graduate of the Moscow Conservatory (class of Professor Mikhail Voskresensky). Laureate of the International Competitions Olivier Messiaen (Paris, 2007) and the Queen Elisabeth (Brussels, 2010) Member of the St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2013.

"Russian Tuesdays" — a joint project of the St Petersburg Music House and Concert Center Brucknerhaus, named in honor of the eminent Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. The next concert of this series will be held on March 8, 2016 in Linz with a solo concert of the Laureate of the Tchaikovsk International Competition (Moscow, 2015) violinist Pavel Milyukov.
St. Petersburg Music House is the federal cultural institution, established in 2006 to prepare young Russian musicians for international competitions and festivals, occupies The Palace of Grand Duke Alexis Romanov at 122 Moika River Bank. In 2015/2016's the Music House holds its X Anniversary season.
Artistic director is famous cellist, People's Artist of Russia, professor Sergei Roldugin.
