June 3 the soloist will perform in Lagoa, June 4 - in Espargo
3 and 4 June, Friday and Saturday, St Petersburg Music House again invites to Portugal, Lagoa (3 June) and Espargo (4 June) wherein will peform the laureate of Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, 2015) pianist Sergey Redkin. «Orquestra Euro-Atlântica» Conductor is Rui Pinheiro.
Portuguese music fans will hear the recognized masterpiece of world music culture and one of the most significant Rachmaninoff`s creativity milestones – his Second Piano Concerto. Rachmaninoff wrote this piece at the turn of XXth century, in 1900. Composer gave the overarching role to piano- sending a message of love for homeland. Using the richness of artistic images, Rachmaninoff "draws" a painting of peaceful Russian life that hides the true power of Russia. The first performer of this concert was Rachmaninoff himself, premiere was in 1901, the orchestra managed his cousin, conductor Alexander Ziloti.
Sergey Redkin, 24 years old, was born in Krasnoyarsk. Postgraduate Student of the St. Petersburg Conservatory (Class of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Alexander Sandler). Winner and Laureate of prestigious Piano Competitions such as May Lind International Piano Competition (Finland, 2012) and Prokofiev International Competition (St. Petersburg, 2013). The Laureate of Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, 2015). The Member of St. Petersburg Music House Program since 2008.
