Evgeny was born to a family of musicians in Leningrad in 1989. He started to learn to play violin at Children's School No. 18. In 1996 he entered the Secondary School of Music at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (class of Elena Zaitseva), from which he graduated with honours. Then studied at St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory( class of Pavel Popov).
Laureate of international competitions:
2002: The 6th Prize Award at the 4th Tchaikovsky International Youth Competition (China).
2003: The 3rd Prize Award at the 1st Niccolo Paganini International Competition (Moscow).
2009: The 3rd Prize Award at the 3rd Jascha Heifetz International Competition (Vilnius).
2008: The 3rd Prize Award in the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists (Great Britain).
2010: The 1st Prize Award at the 17th International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition (Germany).
He has attended master-classes by Stefan Picard, Helmut Bayerle, organized by the International Summer Bavarian Academy of Music and the Academy for Young Musicians, attended master-classes by Zakhar Bron, Grigory Zhislin, Hans Zehetmair, Kazimierz Węgrzyn and Christian Tetzlaff.
He performs at concerts as a soloist and as part of chamber ensembles in Russia and abroad. He has participated in various music festivals such as: Schleswig-Holstein in Germany, chamber music festival in Austria, Early music festival in St. Petersburg. He has worked with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra and the New Russia Orchestra. He gave a solo concert at the Small Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonic. He has toured in Germany, USA, Brazil, France, Holland, UK, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Estonia.
In May 2011, Evgeny released his debut CD with pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, recorded at Genuin Classics.
