Nikolai was born in Rostov-on-Don in 1990. He started to learn to play piano at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Children's and Youth School of Music (class of V. Golovan). In 2003, after graduating from the music school, Nikolai continued his studies at the secondary school (college) at the Rachmaninoff Rostov State Conservatoire (class of Professor Igor Benditsky) and at New Bulgarian University (class of Professor M. Moldova).
Laureate of Russian and international competitions:
2005 - the 2nd prize at the 2nd International A. Nasedkin Piano Competition (Yaroslavl);
2007 - the 3rd prize and prizes for the performance of a compulsory piece and performance of an etude at the P. Vladigerov International Piano Competition, (Bulgaria);
2007 - the 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition in Malaga (Spain);
2009 – the 1st prize and Grand Prix at the 5th International Piano Competition “Young Virtuosi”, (Sofia, Bulgaria).
2011 - the 1st Prize Award in the Vladigerov International Piano Competition (Bulgaria).
He gave his first solo concert when he was 10 years old. Nikolai has performed solo and with orchestras of Russian and foreign cities: Rostov Philharmonic Academic Orchestra, Rostov Conservatory Student Orchestra, Yaroslavl Philharmonic Academic Orchestra, Krasnodar Conservatory Academic Orchestra, Shumen School Academic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Academic Orchestra, Sofia National Radio Academic Orchestra. He has also participated in many masterclasses and festivals.
