Born in 1998 in Moscow, Grigory Filipchenko graduated from the Moscow Gnessin Secondary Special School, studying under Natalia Zavarzina and Lyudmila Kruzhkova. Since 2016, he has been a student at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied with People's Artist of the USSR Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Boris Andrianov. He continued his studies in the assistant-internship program at the Moscow Conservatory, under Honored Artists Boris Andrianov and Vladimir Balshin. Currently, he is pursuing further studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Professor Enrico Bronzi.

He has participated in master classes with Sergei Roldugin, Claudio Bohorquez, Martti Rousi, Raphael Wallfisch, Eleonora Testelec, Leonid Gorokhov, Alexander Chaushyan, Nonna Natsvlishvili, Stefan Popov, Dmitry Feigin, and Dmitry Miller.
Grigory has received scholarships from the Moscow Government, the V. Spivakov Foundation (2011), the "New Names" Foundation (2014), and the "Creating the Future" Foundation from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC "Gazprom," V. A. Zubkov (2019).
He actively tours in Russia and abroad, giving solo concerts in Moscow and participating in the subscription series of the Moscow Conservatory. He has performed with orchestras such as the "Gnessin Virtuosi," the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the orchestras of the Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov Philharmonics, and the Real Filharmonía de Galicia.
In 2015, Grigory became a prize-winner of the "String Players 2015" project and received an invitation from the Branimir Slokar Academy to participate in master classes and perform a solo program with the International Orchestra of Ljubljana.
He has participated in various international music festivals, including "Moscow Meets Friends" by V. Spivakov, "New Names," "January Evenings," "Peregrinos Musicales" (Spain), the Romantic Music Festival "Virtuoso," "Musica Iberica," the Winter International Arts Festival by Y. Bashmet in Sochi, the Music Festival in Pula (Croatia), "Festival Nights" in Vienna (Austria), and the "Chieti Classica Festival."
In 2016, he joined the jury of the All-Russian Music Festival "Cello-Bass" in Moscow. He is a regular participant in the "Moscow International Summer School at Gnessin."
Since 2018, Grigory has been a participant in the programs of the Saint Petersburg Music House.
