Alexander was born in 1998 in Voorburg, the Netherlands. Since he was 8 years he studied with Professor Monique Bartels at the Conservatory in Amsterdam. From 2016 till 2019 Alexander studied in Berlin at the Barenboim-Said Academy with Professor Frans Helmerson. Currently he continues to study at the Kronberg Academy.
He won prizes in international and national competitions:
2012 - winner of the Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition (Zagreb, Croatia)
2016 - winner and holder of the public award of the Cello Biënnale Competition in Amsterdam. Winner of the Prinses Christina Competition (the Netherlands) and the National Competition for Young Musicians.
He took part in the Verbier Festival Academy (2017), the Grachten Festival in Amsterdam, the Festival Bad Ragaz in Switzerland, the Cello Biënnale, Chamber Music Festival Amsterdam, at the International Chamber Music Festival in Utrecht, and Festival Wonderfeel.
Alexander is active as a soloist and as a chamber music performer. He has played with several orchestras in the Netherlands. He has performed several times in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. He performed with Menahem Pressler, Denis Kozhukhin, Gil Sharon, Paolo Giacometti, Lucas Jussen.
Since 2017 Alexander plays in The Amsterdam Piano Trio together with Yang Yang Cai (piano) and Shin Sihan (violin).
He had masterclasses with Professor Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and Jens-Peter Maintz.
Alexander plays on a 1845 Jean Baptiste Vuillaume cello, which he has on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation.
