Svetlana was born in Kostomuksha, Republic of Karelia in 1987. She graduated from the Vavilov Children's Music School in Kostomuksha (class of V. Kolomiets) in 2001. In 2001-2004 she studied at the Secondary School No. 1 of Petrozavodsk (class of Boris Smirnov). Since 2004 she has been a student at the Glazunov Petrozavodsk State Conservatory (class of Boris Smirnov).

2003: The 2nd Prize Award at the Petrozavodsk Regional Competition,
2004: The 3rd Prize Award at the 2nd Governor's Valery Gavrilin International Youth Competition (Vologda).
