Andrei Matiukhin (oboe)

Born in Kaluga in 2004. Andrey attended the School of Musical Mastery at the Kaluga Regional Music College "S. I. Taneev" in the class of tutor Sergey Orlov. He graduated from the Gnessin State Musical College in the class of an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor Olga Tomilova. Since 2021, he studies at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire in the class of the same tutor.

• The winner in the 3rd International Woodwind and Percussion Competition and Festival for Youth "Gnesiny" in Moscow
• The winner in the International Woodwind Competition for Youth “WIND STARS 2020" in Riga, Latvia
• The 2nd Prize Award in the 7th International Woodwind Competition for Youth "Siberian Musical Assemblies" in Novosibirsk

2021

• The 2nd Prize Award in the 4th All-Russian competition for woodwind and percussion soloists and ensembles "Virtuosos of the Chernozem region" in Voronezh
• The winner in the All-Russian woodwind competition and festival "Russian Woodwinds FEST" in Moscow

He took part in master classes by Domenico Orlando, José Antonio Masmano, Olga Tomilova, Alexey Ogrinchuk, Dmitry Bulgakov, Lorenzo Masala, Maria Surnacheva, Eric Chelabaev, Alexey Utkin.
 
He took part in the Education Centre Sirius in Sochi in the class of Philip Nodel (2017), and Yuri Egorov (2019).
 
He received a personal scholarship from the Government of the Kaluga Region "Yu. Usov" (2016-2018) and holds a Grant from the President of the Russian Federation (2019-2021). He won the 2nd Prize Award in the All-Russian competition "Young Talents of Russia" (2017-2019). He is a fellow of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation (2017). He participated in the International TV competition "The Nutcracker" (2018).
 
Since 2018, he plays in the Symphony Orchestra "S. T. Richter" of the Kaluga Regional Philharmonic. Since 2020, he plays in the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra of Yuri Bashmet. As a soloist, he performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Regional Philharmonic "Instrumental Capella".
 
He took part in the festival "Moscow meets friends" (2015, 2016).
 
He takes part in the programs of the St. Petersburg Music House since 2018.
