Nikolay was born in Moscow in 1988. In 2006, he graduated with honours from the Gnesins Moscow Special School of Music (class of Honoured Cultural Worker Vera Birina). In 2011 he graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire (class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor Natalya Shakhovskaya). At present he is doing his postgraduate studies at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire (class of Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor Alexei Seleznev) and doctoral studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano, Italy (class of Professor Enrico Dindo).

2008 - The 1st Prize at the 12th International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Krakow.
2009 - The 1st Prize at The International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade de Alcobaca”(Portugal).
2011 - The 3rd Prize at the 13th Concorso Internazionale Citta di Pinerolo (Italy).
2011 - The 1st Prize at the International Competition “Paper dа Musiсa” (Spain).
2012- The 4th Prize at the international chamber music competition “Val Tidone Chamber music Prize” (Italy).
2012 - The 3rd Prize at the 38th international competition of chamber ensembles “Lyceum Club” (Switzerland).
Since 2012, he has been holding a Swiss State Scholarship for talented international students.
Nikolay has given concerts in Russia and Europe and has performed at the top venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg, including the Moscow Conservatoire and the Moscow and St. Petersburg Philharmonic.
