Sofia Safronova (clarinet)

Sofia Safronova was born in Togliatti in 2000. She studied at the music school associated with the Institute of Arts of Togliatti in the class of Elena Mikhailova. In 2020, she graduated with honors from the Moscow State College of Musical Art named after F. Chopin and is presently a student at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. She is currently studying at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory under the tutelage of Professor Evgeny Petrov, who is an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
 
Laureate of various national and international competitions:

2018

• The II prize at the XIV International Competition for Young Musicians in the "Wind and Percussion Instruments" category.

2023

• The semi-finals of the Classic Winds competition (Dubai).
• Laureate of the 3rd prize at the VIII International Competition of Young Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments “Siberian Musical Assemblies” in Novosibirsk

She has attended masterclasses led by Grigory Maliev, Sergey Yeletsky, and Evgeny Petrov.

She has worked with several orchestras: All-Russian Youth Orchestra, New Russia, Moscow Soloists, Khabarovsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Samara Philharmonic Orchestra, and musicAeterna.

From 2016 until 2022, she served as a soloist in the All-Russian Youth Orchestra with the patronage of Yuri Bashmet.
