Mikhail Pirozhenko was born in 2010 in Saint Petersburg. Since 2017, he has been a student of the Secondary Special Music School of the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg Conservatory. He began his studies in the class of Zoya Leonidovna Sapiton, and since September 2024 has continued his training in the class of Professor Alexander Mikhailovich Sandler, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation.

- First Prize winner at the 1st All-Russian Open Piano Competition named after I. S. Avramkova (Saint Petersburg)
- Awarded the Collaborative Pianist Diploma of the winner of the 24th International Television Competition for Young Musicians The Nutcracker (Moscow)
2024
- Grand Prix winner at the 5th International Competition Piano Today (Saint Petersburg)
- First Prize winner and recipient of the award for Best Performance of a Work by Valery Gavrilin at the 9th Governor’s International Youth Competition named after Valery Gavrilin (Vologda)
2025
- Laureate of the 6th Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (Moscow)
- Grand Prix winner at the 7th All-Russian Competition for Young Musicians Constellation (Sirius)
He took part in creative sessions at the Sirius Educational Center (2023–2025).
He is a scholarship holder of the Maestro Temirkanov Foundation for Cultural Initiatives and the New Names Charitable Foundation. He has performed with orchestras under the direction of M. Golikov, A. Shteinlukht, M. Shekhtman, P. Oparovsky, S. Armasaryan, M. Alekseev, A. Chernushenko, I. Nikiforchin, and V. Gergiev.
