Pyotr Berdnikov was born in the year 2005 in the city of Sochi. He received his initial musical education at Children’s School of Arts No. 1 in Sochi, where he studied under the guidance of teacher Ilya Rybakov. He graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied under the instruction of Maria Sitkovskaya. At present, he is a student at the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts, where he is studying under the guidance of teacher Radik Khanafin.
He has received awards at national and international competitions:
2023
- the First Prize and a diploma for the virtuosic performance of a large-scale composition at the All-Russian Competition “Volga Symphony” (Kazan);
- the First Prize at the All-Russian Music Competition “The People’s Rachmaninoff,” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff (Moscow).
2024
- the First Prize at the XV International Competition named after S. I. Savshinsky (Saint Petersburg).
He is a scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
He has participated in masterclasses conducted by Wilfried Strehle. He took part in the Youth Program of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival “The School of Masters” (2023, 2024), and in the First International Academy of Yuri Bashmet (2015).
Since the year 2024, he has been a soloist of the “Violin Art Workshop” under the direction of Fyodor Belugin. In 2025, he participated in the gala concert entitled “Stars of the New Generation” at the XII Trans-Siberian Art Festival under the artistic direction of Vadim Repin (Novosibirsk).
