Russian Center of Science and Culture in Paris was founded 1995. Over 100 cultural events are taking place annually at the Center: artistic exhibitions, presentations of Russian regions, forums, conferences, book fairs, film shows and concerts. RCSC accommodates a modern multi-purpose room with 195 seats for film shows and theatrical performances, along with three other rooms for exhibitions and concerts.
The Center’s library stock contains over 20 thousand volumes. The readers are offered up to twenty leading Russian periodicals. The video library counts over 3 thousand Russian films.
Annual Russian Language Courses of RCSC are attended by about 1500 students. Throughout the entire year, the Center arranges language training at the universities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg and coordinates a program of language studies for Russian language students.
Since 2009, RCSC has been a coordinator of the Russian-French Forum of Humanitarian University and Department Presidents. The Center runs Russian Conservatory named after Alexander Skriabin along with France-Russia-CIS stamp collectors club, Stella Art Gallery and Red Sales Children’s Creativity Development School. RCSC is a member of the Forum of International Cultural Institutions in Paris (FICEP).
Since 2012, the Embassy of Musical Mastery concerts of young soloists of Saint Petersburg Music House take place at the RCSC.
