Ruslan Fatkhutdinov was born in 2008 in the town of Lesnoy in the Sverdlovsk Region. From the age of six, he studied at the Children’s Music School of Lesnoy under the guidance of Evgeny and Svetlana Smirnov. Since 2020, he has been a student of the Secondary Special Music School affiliated with the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory, where he studies in the class of Ekaterina Kulagina.

- First Prize winner at the International festival-competition Tallinn Fest among CIS countries (Tallinn)

- Second Prize winner at the 6th International Music Competition GoodWin Art (Moscow)
2024
- First Prize winner at the 5th International Competition for Wind Instrument Performers Moscow Wind (Moscow)
2025
- Second Prize winner at the International Music Competition Crescendo Competition (Saint Petersburg)
2026
- First Prize winner at the 7th International Competition named after S. I. Savshinsky (Saint Petersburg)
- Laureate of the II Prize at the XI International Competition of Musicians Performing Wind and Percussion Instruments “Silver Sounds” (Petrozavodsk).
He has taken part in master classes with Sergei Kolesov, Vladimir Koznov, Nikita Zimin, and Leonid Drutin.
He is a laureate of the Finist International Talent Competition (Saint Petersburg, 2025) and the Crescendo International Competition (Moscow, 2025).
He has been a participant in the programs of the Saint Petersburg Music House since 2026.
