Sofia was born in Leningrad in 1991. She learned at the Secondary Special School of Music of the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, specialising in harp, with Karina Maleyeva. She is laureate of some youth music competitions including the Nutcracker International Television Competition (Moscow), the Félix Godefroid harp competition (Belgium)
Laureate of the international competitions:
2005 - The 11th Prize at the Lily Laskin International Harpist Competition (Duville, France);
2006 - The 4th prize at the 3rd International Competition "Ville de Lille" (France, Lille); 2007 - First prize in the International Competition Franz-Josef Reil Stiftung (Munich);
2007 - The 2nd prize at Cardiff European Harp Competition ( UK);
2007 - First Prize and Special Jury Prize at the International Harp Contest bv. Martine Geliot, (Paris).
2007 - The winner of the 6th Moscow International Forum of teachers-musicians “Way to mastery” at the 8th Moscow open festival “Magic Harp Sounds”.
2008 – laureate of the V.Dulova Festival-Contest (Moscow)/
Sofia participated in the Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation events, in concerts of laureates of the New Names Foundation, in Sergey Slonimsky's concert-portrait.
She was awarded a laureate of the Y.Temirkanov Prize (2007), represented Russia at the World Congress of Harpists in Amsterdam (2008), took part in the International Festival “Planet's Virtuosi” held by the Government of Ukraine (2008).
In 2008, she also released her first solo CD in Paris.
