Sofya Manyukova was born in the year 2003 in the city of Yaroslavl. She completed her studies at the Children’s Music School named after Alexander Borisovich Goldenweiser, where she studied under the instruction of teacher Lina Ilyina. She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Moscow State College of Musical Performance, where she studied under the guidance of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Professor Kseniya Knorre. Since the year 2023, she has been a student at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she continues her studies with the same teacher.
She has received awards at national and international competitions:
In 2019, she was awarded:
– the Third Prize at the Moscow Youth Competition named after Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
In 2021, she received:
– the First Prize at the XI Moscow Open Festival-Competition for Young Performers of Early Music named after Leopold Mozart.
In 2022, she was awarded:
– the Second Prize at the International Youth Music Competition dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky (Saint Petersburg).
In 2023, she became:
– the Second Prize winner at the All-Russian Piano Competition named after Anna Dmitriyevna Lvova (Yaroslavl).
In 2024, she received:
– the Second Prize at the V International Competition “Piano Today” (Saint Petersburg).
She is a scholarship recipient of the “New Names” Foundation. She regularly takes part in concerts of the project “Small Stages” (Saint Petersburg). She has performed on the stages of the Moscow Conservatory, Gradsky Hall, the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music, the Yaroslavl State Philharmonic, among others.
She has appeared as a soloist with the orchestra of Gradsky Hall under the direction of Konstantin Kaznacheyev, with the chamber orchestra “Ad Parnassum,” with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Yaroslavl, and with the Symphony Orchestra of the Fryderyk Chopin Moscow State College of Musical Performance.
