Varvara was born in Saint-Petersburg in 1988. In 2008, she finished the Academic Music College of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Professor Elena Kuznetcova, Honored Artist of Russia). In 2012, she graduated with honors from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory after study at the same teacher and currently she is a postgraduate student (assistantship and internship). Since 2014, Varvara is a postgraduate student of the Royal College of Music in London (class of Professor Dina Parakhina).
The musician is a laureate of All-Russian and international competitions.
In 2007, Grand Prix at the “Krasnodar Camerata” Open International Festival and Competition (Krasnodar).
In 2007, winner of the Open All-Russian Competition “Merzlyakova invites friends (Moscow), 19th Camillo Togni International Competition (Italy).
In 2009, winner of the 1st Maria Yudina Open Festival of Young Musicians (Moscow).
In 2011, winner of the “Young Talents of Russia” All-Russia Competition (Moscow).
In 2013, diploma "For High Concertmaster Skills" at the 3rd Yury Yankelovich International Violin Competition (Omsk).
In 2014, the 3rd Prize winner at the 17th “Young Talents” International Piano Competition (Monroe-les-Bains, France), the winner of the 21st International piano Competition in “Rotary Club Palma Ramon Llull” (Palma de Majorca, Spain).
In 2015, the 1st Prize, Audience Award and Prize for the best performance of compulsory music piece at the 3rd International Sussex Piano Competition (Sussex, UK); Hopkinson Gold Medal at Chappell Medal Competition (London, UK).
2016 – winner of the special prizes «Peppino e Elsa Orlando» and «Pianale Academy» at the International piano competition Arcangelo Speranza (Taranto, Italy). Winner of the special prize «Kunststation Kleinsassen», awards «Steingraeber & Söhne» and «Bridgewater sinfonia» and scholarship «Eines Musikliebhabers» at the International piano and academy competition «Pianale» (Schlitz, Germany).
Playing in duet with Maryana Osipova, Varvara got the 1st Prize at London International Music Competition (London, 2010) and Gran Prix at “Yurmala 2011” International Competition of Chamber Music..
She has diplomas of the 3rd “Modern Art and Education” International Competition (Moscow, 2008) and International Music Competition Jean Francaix (Paris, 2010).
Varvara is a fellow of the "Russian Performing Art” Fund.
