Vitaliy Vatulya was born in 1987 in Moscow. He attended the Children’s Music School No. 3 in Simferopol. Then he finished with honors the Music College under the Moscow Schnittke Institute (class of Professor, Honored Artist of the RF Yuriy Vorontsov), as well as the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (class of Professor, the People’s Artist of Russia Margarita Shaposhnikova), where he graduated post graduate studies in 2014. Since the autumn of 2015 he is undergraduate of Conservatory of Amsterdam (class of Arno Borncamp).

2000 – laureate of the Ist prize at the Crimea Republic Competition Young Virtuoso (Simferopol).
2000 – laureate of the IInd prize at the International music competition Blue Bird (Simferopol).
2000 – laureate of the IInd prize at the international festival competition Artek Lights a Star (Yalta).
2001 – laureate of the Ist prize at the Crimea Republic Art Competition.
2004 – laureate of the IInd prize at the international competition Classic Heritage (Moscow).
2005 – grand prix of the international competition Art of the XXI Century (Kiev).
2006 – laureate of the Ist prize at the X International competition for wind instrument performers (Togliatti).
2011 – laureate of the Ist prize at the X Delphic Games in Russia . 2011 – laureate of the IInd prize at the International Saxophonist Music Competition The Voice of the Saxophone in the Modern World (Moscow).
2015 – laureate of the Ist prize at the International Saxophonist Music Competition «Marco Fiorindo» (Italy).
In 2003 he became a diploma holder of the European Saxophonist Competition Young Saxophonist in France. In 2004 and 2005 he was rewarded with a special scholarship of A. Shilov memorial fund and of the Association “Classic Heritage”.
Vitaliy performs an active concert activity. As a soloist he constantly plays with leading saxophone orchestras of Russia such as the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Samara and Togliatti Philharmonic Societies, the Chamber Orchestra of the Pavel Slobodkin Center. From 2005 he is a member of the saxophonist quartet of the Gnessins Russian Academy of Music that arranges regular concert tours in the cities of Russia and abroad. He combines his concert activity with teaching. Some of his students became repeatedly laureates of the international competitions and festivals.
He performed in such festivals as Euroochestra in France (2005), Slavonic Spring in Prague (2006), Primavera Classica (2006),d Renaissance in Moscow (2007), Forum Classic in Moscow (2008), SaxArte in Italy (2010).
In 2007 the musician recorded his first CD. His wide collection includes the works of classic and modern jazz music.
He participated in the maser classes of outstanding saxophone players such as Claude Delangle, Jean Denis Michat, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Arno Bornckamp, Frederick Hemke, Kenneth Tse.
